It's still the best stealth game I've played (Although I do have Thief 2 waiting for me.
I've heard great things about that game.)The game is just as good as I remember it being. I highly recommend it to anybody who hasn't played it I think I got it for around 2.50 during a sale over the past year. Back when it was released the graphics and sound were top of the line and they still hold up today. It's the type of game you want to play with headphones on and in darkness. At least I do. One thing I didn't expect the first time I played this game was how it was comedic gold at moments like a part in the game were the enemies are naive to the fact that lights with motion sensors are relatively cheap over in other countries one guy says 'I'd like to have one of these on my garage.'
And the next says 'You fool this is high tech equipment! This stuff is expensive!' Or just using airfoils to knock someone out cold as they tumble off a ledge there were constantly moments among the journey were I was cracking up. Multiplayer was excellent. They were missions specifically made for 2 agents and could be pretty hard if you didn't have a skilled partner. It's a shame the series has been average at best imo since Chaos Theory because they have the perfect example on how to make a great Splinter Cell game right under their nose.
One thing that pisses me off about modern stealth games are the vision bars on the AI. Chaos Theory did this perfectly. No vision bars, you just have to pickup on AI cues. And there are stages of when they spot you (curious, walk toward, take out a flashlight / chemlight, wave it around, shoot wildly in the dark, freak out and surround you, etc) whereas in modern stealth games it's just binary.
No in-between stages. Love Chaos Theory and hate all the Splinter cell games after it (Blacklist included). You seem to be hating the game for what it isn't rather than just appreciating it for what it is:/ It was still a fantastic stealth game nonetheless.
I love the OG Splinter Cell games, but the Blacklist's stealth gameplay was great too. It's a linear stealth game, what's wrong with that?
Burnout legends usa psp iso cso free. Linear checkpoint style maps and guard vision meters are two huge minuses that regress backward from a stealth game to an action shooter. Get with the times, man. From: The core gameplay elements of the modern stealth game are to avoid combat, minimize noise, and strike enemies from the shadows. YOU CAN DO ALL THIS IN BLACKLIST. It's your choice if you want to or not.
If you play Blacklist as a stealth game, you get some action sprinkled sprinkled in between the stealth and it's a nice change of pace. You can even ghost your way through those if you want. (I think the only exception is the train level) I think visibility meters are a god-send — makes stealth in games much less annoying IMO. You're the first person who I've seen who hates them. You can't really blame the devs for adding them either.
